Integrating Mindfulness in Counseling
The Center for Professional Development, in
conjunction with the department of Counselor Education, and Counseling
Services at Boise State University, offers professional continuing
educations for counselors and social workers. The department of
Counselor Education is an approved NBCC provider (#4502) and all courses will be
available for approved contact hours.

Integrating Mindfulness and Counseling
This workshop is appropriate for those in counseling practice or
study. Psychotherapeutic mindfulness may be defined as (1) awareness (2) of
present experience (3) with acceptance. Learn the
practice and application of mindfulness to enhance the counseling
relationship. This technique can be used in the clinical setting to assist
clients in managing and accepting their emotions, find relief from symptoms
of depression, anxiety, and discover the potential for personal
transformation.
