Essentials of Business: A Certificate for High Potential Managers

Essentials of Business: A Certificate for High Potential Managers program format is practical and action-oriented - it incorporates hands-on exercises; real-world case studies; and a dynamic, web-based business simulation. Essentials of Business showcases the expertise, talents, and experience of the participants by engaging you in discussions and networking opportunities with other organizational leaders and faculty.

Who Should Attend:

The program is designed for the new or experienced manager, or business owner, who needs to develop a broader-based understanding of the different business functions and how they work together.

Dates: Friday - Saturday, September 11 & 12, 18 & 19, 25 & 26, October 2 & 3, 2009, Boise, Idaho. The next Essentials of Business program is scheduled for September 2010.

Schedule: Eight days; Friday's 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Saturday's 8:00 am - 12:30 pm.

Program Fee: $1,995, includes all instructional materials and simulation support.

Cancellation Policy: For cancellations made 30 days prior to the program, participants will receive a full refund less $50 for processing. Cancellations made less than 30 days will receive a 50% refund. Substitutions will be accepted until 15 days prior to the program.

What You Will Need to Bring: You will want to bring a calculator for the finance and accounting sessions. You will need a WiFi laptop computer with a USB (memory stick) drive. Each team will need a computer for the business simulation.
